About the Lecturer:
Xu Guan is a professor and doctoral supervisor of the School of Management of Huazhong University of Science and Technology. His main research directions are operations and supply chain management, asymmetric information, information acquisition and disclosure. In recent years, he has published more than 60 papers (including accepted) in authoritative academic journals at home and abroad such as Production and Operations Management, Information Systems Research, Journal of Retailing, Journal of Management Science, System Engineering Theory and Practice, and Chinese Management Science. He has presided over a number of scientific research fund projects including the National Science Fund for Outstanding Youth in Self-Technology, NFSC-RGC Joint Fund, Self-specialized Youth Fund; Humanities and Social Sciences Planning and Youth Fund of the Ministry of Education; Special Postdoctoral Funding and General Fund. He serves as a reviewer for international authoritative academic journals such as Management Science, Production and Operations Management.
About the Lecture:
In this talk, I would first introduce some ideas about the firm's information acquisition and disclosure tactics in supply chain management and then discuss how the change of channel structure would influence these information communication strategies based on a review of my recent papers in this area.
